It’s OK

I’m in the middle of reading Life Artist by Ali Edward. The idea of  it's ok and letting go is very interesting to me. I’ve always second guessing myself when it comes to being creative because I’ve never see myself as a creative person. So when ever I am stuck or thinking that I can’t do this I just need to remind myself that it’s ok. I don’t have to come out with a masterpiece layout every single time.  Anything I made will be good enough for my family. Just something to think about.

"The concept of it's ok is a tough one for many people. It's letting go of preconceived notions. It's letting go of the strict rules you've been taught. It's letting go of the need for perfection. Creating stuff is inherently imperfect- it's a perfect parallel to life. Why stress yourself out over something that's innately beautiful in its imperfection? Embracing imperfection doesn't mean you don't care about how something turns out- it simply means that you let go of your personal need to control the outcome.
If you ever feel like you're being suffocated by your hobby, you're probably holding on too tight."
Excerpt from 'Life Artist' book by Ali Edward.

  3. Great template. I am discovering that simple is good, perhaps even better. In many many things, not just art. This will be a quick and easy way to explore that thought. Thank you so much for sharing!
